Children's Literary Salon - Getting Organized: A Conversation with PEN, SCBWI, and The Authors Guild

Share

Children’s authors and illustrators have a slew of different organizations to consider joining once they see their words hit the printed page. In this discussion, representatives from three of the most prominent organizations in New York City will discuss why authors and illustrators join their ranks. Join Pat Cummings of the Authors Guild, Susanna Reich of PEN, and Vicki Wittenstein of SCBWI as they discuss what benefits they provide and the good works they do in the community and the world.

This event will be held in the Berger Forum (Room 227)

The Children’s Literary Salon is a monthly gathering of adults who are fans of children’s literature.   Professionals, librarians, authors, illustrators, publishers, booksellers, teachers, and anyone else interested in the field are welcome to attend our meetings.   The Literary Salon provides free Advanced Readers galleys, a rotating series of talks with professionals in the field, and great conversation.   This program is for adults only.
