Blowing winds, blosing winds,

Raindrops falling

Shimmering green

Spring Birds Calling.

--Manenti and Pyle

Taking a cue from artists throughout the centuries and being directly influenced by verse as a solid form of inspiration, the arduously long winter makes the anticipation of spring much stronger, the greens much greener. Manenti and Pyle's verse refers to the light, warm winds and rain water replenishing the earth; the translucency and sparkle of drops on this verdant growth. These paintings were developed from this imagery and this was shared with the young children in the classroom. This is art developed from an intergenerational, interdisciplinary exchange, where we are all on this artistic exploration together.
