OVERLOOKED NEW YORK brings the joyous obsessions of these ardent Puerto Rican New Yorkers with their tricked-out vintage bikes decorated with flags and fox tails into focus through a series of exuberantly painted portraits paired with verbatim interviews that allow the viewer to meet them firsthand.
Zina Saunders has been a writer and artist for more than 20 years. Her work can be seen in national magazines and newspapers like The New York Times,The Progressive, and The Wall Street Journal.
This exhibit will be on view from May 1 - 31st, 2014
