Are you interested in learning the basic skills needed to use a sewing machine? Yes? Great!! Join us for six weeks of sewing fun as you learn the basics of using a sewing machine. Each participant will use one of our sewing machines to create two projects with the help of an instructor. All supplies will be provided and offered on a first come first serve basis. All particpants must commit to the full six weeks. Please call or come in to register.

COMIC CULTURE: MONSTERS OF THE BRONX
Join a new series of Comics-art classes focusing on the monster-loving mythology of our multi-cultural Bronx. This Summer, we explore the myths and legends of the diverse communities of the Bronx, as well as go deeper into some of the issues affecting our communities. Kids will learn to make their own comics, create their own stories, enjoy live figure drawing, and even review great anime; all while investigating the magic and diversity of our everyday lives. This is a 6 week program which will focus on learning Stencyl and using it to create a Platform game (think old school Mario). We will meet every Friday for a class focusing on a specific task and then have an Open Lab for people who want to work more on their games on Saturdays.
