Book Discussion: Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
Join us as we discuss Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. Winner of the 2013 National Book Critics Circle Fiction award. A story of of love and race centered around a young man and woman from Nigeria who face difficult choices and challenges in the countries they come to call home. The novel traces the story of Ifemelu’s life in Nigeria and the U.S., weaving together the love story of her high school love Obinze. A librarian and/or trained book discussion leader will facilitate discussion.

NYPL Innovation Project
Next Chapter Book Club
Next Chapter Book Club provides the opportunity for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to read, learn and make friends in a community setting. It is not a traditional book club where groups read books on their own time and gather to discuss, but rather the group meets weekly and the participants take turns reading aloud the books that have been preselected for them. Anyone can participate, regardless of their reading level.

AKI SAIJO is active Jazz, R&B and Pop singer in Tokyo/NY since 2005.
