Mindful Meditation
As part of Parkchester Library’s Healthy Saturdays series, we will be watching a video on Mindful Mediation. In the video, UCLA professor and executive coach John Ullmen, PhD, explains the fundamentals of mindfulness and provides step-by-step methods that anyone can use. Mindfulness is a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations.

This workshop is for adults preparing to take the United States Citizenship Test. Each workshop will focus on several of the 100 citizenship test questions relating to Civics. Students will also learn about library and online resources to continue their practice at home.
