Mindful Meditation
As part of Parkchester Library’s Healthy Saturdays series, we will be watching a video on Mindful Mediation. In the video, UCLA professor and executive coach John Ullmen, PhD, explains the fundamentals of mindfulness and provides step-by-step methods that anyone can use. Mindfulness is a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations.

This workshop introduces participants to the New York City Human Rights Law. Specific topics include prohibited discriminatory practices in employment, housing, public accommodations, as well as bias-based harassment and biased-based profiling by law enforcement.
