Dance of the African Diaspora
A Summer Reading Program This program celebrates the differences and similarities of dances within the African Diaspora. Using movement and music, students will go on an interactive dance tour starting in West Africa, going to the Caribbean & Latin America, and finally landing in the Unites States. Navigate through history to connect interrelated cultures. Part dance performance, part dance instruction, 100% excitement! For ages 12 to 18 years old. Presented by Urban Stages.
