A Summer Reading Program This comical folktale from the Dominican Republic tells the story of a simple, fun-loving young man who is crazy in love with a neighborhood girl. Our humorous, interactive puppet play integrates audiences into the story in order to help Pedro win the hand of his true love. Best for pre-k to 4th grade. Performed in Spanish or bilingual. Birds of Prey
A Summer Reading Program! Encounter hawks, owls, falcons or other species up close as we explore the adaptations of these winged wonders and examine the mechanics behind bird flight! Touch raptor artifacts such as talons, skulls, and feathers. A lucky volunteer may even get to help with some of the demonstrations. Best for children ages 5 and older. A Summer Reading Program Many consider beatboxing to be the very first music instrument man ever created. The use and manipulation of your lips, teeth, throat and tongue to create music has evolved into a true art-form utilizing one of Hip Hop’s greatest mantras - making something from nothing. Beatboxing also serves as a powerful tool for making speech therapy exercises fun and engaging. Presented by Bridging Education and Art Together (BEAT). For ages 13-18 years old.
