Stealing Tone and Picking Up Where Your Favorite Authors Left
In this workshop, we will look at the work of various YA authors and see what we glean for our own practice. We will practice imitating the tone and voice of different authors. We will also re-write well-known stories in wildly different and distinctive tones. Students will gain insight into the writing process and learn how writers put their reading habits to good use.
