Chess Club for Teens and Tweens
Are you a tween or teen who loves chess? Or are you a tween or teen who loves chess and wants to learn how to play better? Or are you a tween or teen who does not play chess but wants to learn? Come to our Tween and Teen Chess Club! We meet every Saturday, from 1pm to 3pm, on the 1st Floor of the Chatham Square Library. This chess and enrichment program is designed to focus on behavior, concentration, and to build up memory and cognitive skills. It's a self-esteem booster and increases better decision making too. It takes a person's weakness, and turns it into their strength. Students will be taught how to play, the rules of chess and conclude with a tournament. Best for ages 8-14. Limited space for 20 kids.
