Safe Sleep Initiative: A Family Literacy Workshop (With Giveaways for Baby!)
Safe Sleep conducts presentations with expecting parents, parents and caretakers on the dangers of unsafe sleep practices and how these practices can cause an infant’s death. On average 50 infants die each year as a result of preventable sleep related death. Mayor de Blasio launched the campaign in April 2015 and he entrusted NYC Children Services to spread the message in high-risk communities on how to prevent unsafe sleep deaths citywide. Safe Sleep also has great giveaways to hand out.
