The Dance Oral History Channel
The following clips were selected from the more than 4,000 audio recordings that make up the Dance Division’s Audio Archive and Oral History Project at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. These diverse recordings document the voices and ideas of more than half a century of performers, choreographers, scholars and producers, working in all areas of dance.
We encourage you to explore the Channel clips which provides samples from our 2009-2012 Oral History Project participants, as well as from a special interview project, Speaking of Dancing. Keep an eye on our staff blog posts to learn more about our current activities.
