We have recently added three splendid antiquarian Czech publications which you can learn more about below.

Letem

Letem Českým Světem 

Letem českým světem : půl tisíce fotograf. pohledů z Čech, Moravy, Slezska a Slovenska / [texty napsali F. Bareš [and others]] (Prague: Jos. R. Vilimek, 1898). Beautiful Art Nouveau design of binding on the front, and back, including intricate vignette and border, and spine by Alphonse Mucha, bound by Joseph Pfeiffer in Prag.

This elaborate undertaking presents 500 views from Bohemia, Moravia, Silesia, and Slovakia showing landscapes, architecture, and idyllic scenes in full-page black & white photographs by J. Vilim, J. Eckert, M. Adler, A. Lehmann, J. Hahn, J. F. Langhans, Frantisek Kratky, J. Polnicky, J. Pribransky, B.V. Liska, among many others, with extended captions by various authors.

This remarkable Czech children's book is magnificently illustrated with 30 double-page chromolithographs depicting nature and the art of life through the four seasons.

Protektorate

Protektoratsbahnen Böhmen und Mähren = Protektorátní dráhy Čech a Moravy

Protektoratsbahnen Böhmen und Mähren = Protektorátní dráhy Čech a Moravy, 2 vols. 1940/41 and 1941/42. Folio. 80pp; 104pp.

These two volumes were published by the Ministry of Transportation and served as the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia's railway travel guides. Each features a folded color map, eleven (1940/41) and nine (1941/42) railway timetables, and numerous photographs reproduced in photogravure showing beautiful sceneries, monuments, and local population in traditional dress (1940/41), and construction workers, workers in factories, laborers, and artisans (1941/42). Each volume includes numerous, full-page, and richly illustrated advertisements placed at the end.
