In this episode from May 5, 2021 NYPL's Ian Fowler was joined by Dr. Julie Golia, also of NYPL. They discussed Julie's new book Newspaper Confessions: A History of Advice Columns in a Pre-Internet AgeThey also explored the creative ways that Golia used the Library's newspaper collections to research the rise of newspaper advice columns in early 20th-century America.
