While Hollywood buzzes about the 70th annual Emmy Awards, libraries are catching a bit of buzz too. In this year's crop of nominees, several series and films have roots somewhere in the literary landscape. And as a viewer and a reader, you can gain a new perspective by finding the books that started it all and the supplemental reading materials that can take you deeper.

Plus, if any big-name stars out there are looking to take a librarian to the red carpet? Look no further. You can find us in your local branches.

Several other nominees have supplemental books, including Tim Gunn's style and fashion guides; the books of Patrick Melrose, who's the subject of a limited series nominated for an Emmy; and Issa Rae's autobiography, The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl, which served as a jumping-off point for Insecure

But wait, there's more! You can check out soundtracks and DVDs at the Library, too, including some of the "prestige TV" and limited series that you may have missed the first time around.
