3/20: Talks at the Schomburg: Radical Reproductive Justice 
Join editors Loretta Ross and Lynn Roberts for a discussion of their newly released anthology, Radical Reproductive Justice, which illustrates the ways in which the battle for reproductive rights is fundamentally linked to combating systemic oppression rooted in sexism and white supremacy. 6:30 PM, Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture.

3/22: Talks at the Schomburg: Lorraine Hansberry
Take a deep dive into the mind and life of activist and playwright Lorraine Hansberry with biographers Margaret B. Wilkerson, Ph.D., Princeton University professor Imani Perry, and Chair of the Department of Performing Arts at Georgetown University Soyica Colbert. Schomburg Center.

3/22: Bernstein's Unanswered Questions 
50 years after Leonard Bernstein’s landmark six-part lecture, "The Unanswered Question," the Library presents a contemporary reaction and update to the series that tackled the enigmatic meaning of music and defined for a generation a new way to listen. 6 PM, Library for the Performing Arts.

3/23: The Library After Hours: Starry Messengers
Join us for the city's most cerebral happy hour. The spring equinox is upon us, and things are getting positively celestial at this month's Library After Hours. Check out rare astronomical treatises, watch classic science docs, and get busy with astral crafts. 7 PM, Stephen A. Schwarzman Building.

3/24: LENNY @ 100: A Leonard Bernstein Centennial Concert 
LENNY @ 100 is a newly conceived Millennium Chamber Symphony production, featuring highlights from West Side Story and Candide, plus chamber works and humorous arts songs. This concert is presented by Alexander A. Wu, Yamaha piano artist and arranger, Millenium Chamber Symphony, Artistic Director and Co-Founder. 2:30 PM, Library for the Performing Arts.

3/26: LIVE from the NYPL: Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor with Shaun King: Reforming Justice
Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor, Princeton professor of African-American Studies and author of From #BlackLivesMatter to Black Liberation, is joined in conversation by activist Shaun King, who writes for The Intercept and Harvard Law School’s Fair Punishment Project. Join these thought leaders for a crucial examination of race and inequality in the America we see today, and the one we might envision for tomorrow. Purchase tickets today. 3/28: Automating Inequality: Virginia Eubanks with Paul D. Miller
Author and New American Fellow Virginia Eubanks and artist Paul D. Miller come together to bring you real people's stories and the circumstances behind big data. Don't miss this in-depth discussion on the impacts of data mining, policy algorithms, and predictive risk models on impoverished and working-class people in America. 6:30 PM, Mid-Manhattan Library at 42nd Street.

3/28: Shared Sacred Sites: A Conversation with Faith Leaders 
Leaders from the three Abrahamic faiths unite to discuss sharing sacred sites, mutual tolerance, and universal understandings of hospitality rooted in the Abrahamic tradition. The speakers include Cheikh Khaled Bentounès, Rabbi Rolando Matalon, and minister and theologian Cláudio Carvalhaes. The event will be moderated by Anisa Mehdi, acclaimed journalist and filmmaker and director of the Abraham's Path Initiative. 6:30 PM, Stephen A. Schwarzman Building.

3/29: Memories of Destiné: A Centennial Celebration 
The Library presents an evening of performance, archival footage, conversation, and celebratory music to honor the life and legacy of Jean-Léon Destiné. 6 PM, Library for the Performing Arts.

3/31: Oklahoma! Sing Along Show and Tell: 75th Anniversary Celebration 
Celebrate 75 years of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II! See Rodgers and Hammerstein treasures from the Library archives, play musical theatre games, enjoy special guest appearances, and sing along to live performances of Oklahoma! and other beloved Rodgers and Hammerstein songs. 2:30 PM, Library for the Performing Arts.

3/31: Black Girl Magic NYC Book Launch 
Join the Schomburg Shop as we launch The Break Beat Poets Anthology: Black Girl Magic, an anthology celebrating and canonizing the words of Black women across the diaspora, edited by Mahogany L. Browne, Idrissa Simmonds, and Jamila Woods. 3 PM, Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture
