NYPL #FridayReads: The Fifty Thousand Words Edition November 2, 2017

During the week, it can be tough to stay on top of everything. On Fridays, though, we suggest kicking back to catch up on all the delightful literary reading the internet has to offer. Don’t have the time to hunt for good reads? Never fear. We've rounded up the best bookish reading of the week for you.

We Read...

Books to help us through #NaNoWriMo. Hello, 50,000 words! This autumn, we're listening to our favorite essays. We've learned so much from Audre Lorde. Halloween may be over, but we still love these bookish jack o'lanterns! And we're also going to keep reading books with autumnal witchy vibes. We like to ogle cool buildings during #Archtober. It's hard to choose a favorite Jane Austen adaptation. Thought experiment: what if these characters from our favorite books had had cellphones? Library readers confess: these are the top books they can't finish. Every so often, judging books by their covers works! "Who we become has so much to do with the experiences we had, and how we survived." We can't believe we have to wait to see Hulu's adaptation of Ralph Ellison's Invisible Man. Oh, the horror
