Library Stories

Ep. 46 "Reading Is the Greatest Thing in the World" | Library Stories

Getting free help with homework can make a big difference in a child's life. In Richard's case, he won't be held back a grade because of weak reading skills, thanks to NYPL's after-school Enrichment Zones program. Richard has raised his reading level and considers reading the "greatest thing in the world." It even helps his math, because he reads his problems out loud with his tutor before starting to work.

Library Stories is a video series from The New York Public Library that shows what the Library means to our users, staff, donors, and communities through moving personal interviews.
