New year, new books!

I always love the start of a brand new year. The time to start afresh and turn over a new leaf. My favorite? New reading material I'm itching to get my hands on! And this year is no different. So get a pen and paper ready because you are about to add even more books to your never-ending TBR (To Be Read) list. Here are twelve YA books I think you should be excited for:

I just finished reading this and I was "itching"to find out what happens next!

Ms. Marvel Vol. 4

2. Ms. Marvel Vol. 4, Last Days by G. Willow Wilson

Although this was released this past November, this series definitely needs to be on this list! Let us continue on with the amazing adventures of Kamala Kahn as Ms. Marvel! I can't wait for more of this series!

Glass Sword

3. Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard

The New York  Times Bestseller series continues finds Mare Barrow on a dangerous path to of fighting against her oppressors in the rebellion.

     4. This is Where It Ends by Marieke Nijkamp

A unique novel that depicts a high school shooting that takes over a span of 54 minutes. The        different perspectives are so shocking and intense that leaves you in awe with an issue that            needs to be highly discussed.

        5. Truthwitch by Susan Dennard

I love reading fantasy novels, especially if they surround themselves around the theme of                witchcraft! Safi and Iseult may have unique powers but they just want to be free to live their          own lives. However, that may be difficult, especially with a war looming on the Witchlands'            horizon.

23308084        6. The Rose & The Dagger by Renee Ahdieh

The next installment of The Wrath & The Dawn series. Torn away from her husband,                           Shahrzad plans to break a curse held over her land and reunite with her one true love.

23438288         7.  Flawed by Cecelia Ahern

YA novel first by Cecelia Ahern! Celestine North lives a perfect life, until she breaks a rule.             She must face heavy repercussions where obedience is supreme and rebellion leads to                       punishment.

17927395          8.  A Court of Mist and Fury by Sara J. Maas

When I read A Court of Thorns and Roses, I could not wait for the next installment  of this                series!

Feyre has escaped the clutches of Amarantha. But join Feyre in her continued adventures             as she navigates through the dark corners of the Night Court. And with her newly acquired             powers of the High Fae, I feel we will not be disappointed with this new book in the series.

26156203           9. The Crown's Game by Evelyn Skye

The Crown's Game is no ordinary tournament. The Crown's Game is an ancient duel of                     magical skills: the victor becomes the Tsar's esteemed advisor, the loser is sentenced to                   death. This is like Game of Thrones for the younger set.

Zero Day

    10. Zero Day by Jan Gangsei

Addie Webster  returns to her family after being kidnapped eight years ago.  Her family is           overjoyed but there are some who are suspicious of Addie's timely return. But Addie just           wants to be home with her family and has no hidden agenda...or does she?

21518344          11. Unhooked by Lisa Maxwell

Grwendolyn Allister is kidnapped and finds herself in magical place that she though only                   existed in fairytales...Neverland. But this is nothing like the stories. Good and evil have lost             all meaning and Gwen starts to lose grasp on who she really is. Maybe the hero an and the               pirate can help her get home...but who can she really trust in Neverland?

25868918          12. Jane Steele by Lyndsay Faye

A gothic retelling of the classic Jane Eyre.  After suffering cruel abuses, Jane Steele reverts            to crime avenging people whoever have been wronged...until she meets the mysterious                  Charles Thornfield and her dangerous past threatens to be revealed.

Honorable Mention:

Remembrance

Remembrance  by Meg Cabot

This is not necessarily a YA Novel but it is a continuation of YA book series, The Mediator series, that enjoyed when I was younger and I am so glad Meg Cabot decided to write another installment for this series.

Susannah Simon returns with a new job, a new engagement to Dr. Jesse De Silva...an ancient murder, ghosts, and ex-boyfriend. All in the days work of a Mediator.

Make sure to keep a look out for these great titles this year!
