Ep. 4 "My Introduction to the World" | Library Stories
After being laid off from her job in the hospitality industry, Yvette Carpenter knew she had to learn some new computer skills if she was going to compete in the job market. She used The New York Public Library’s TechConnect classes to learn Excel, Word and redo her resume—all for free. She was able to secure a new job, and perhaps more importantly built the skills to reintroduce herself to the world.
Ep. 4 "My Introduction to the World" | Library Stories"It's such an empowering thing to know that my resume isn't just my resume, it's my introduction to the world. It speaks for me." - Yvette Carpenter, Tech Connect User
