Legend Trilogy

I would recommend the Legend Trilogy by Marie Lu to anyone, teen or adult.

Marie Lu's trilogy starts with Legend, which is followed by Prodigy and concludes in Champion.

Legend is a post-apocalyptic tale set in the former United States, now known as the Republic. Legend tells the Story of June and Day. The novel alternates between the two narrators. June is a military prodigy studying to become one of the best military asset for the Republic, while Day is the Republic's most wanted criminal. In a twist of events, June's beloved brother is murdered and Day becomes the number one suspect of his murder. June goes undercover to streets of the Republic to capture Day and bring him to Justice.

Marie Lu's latest series is titled The Young Elites and will be released October 7.

Another author with a fall release is Sarah J. Maas. Her first novel, Throne of Glass, is a beautifully written novel about a heroine named Celaena Sardothian. Celaena is a heroine like no other. She is the best Assassin in the Assassin's Guild, at just eighteen years old. The novel starts with Celaena being taken from the Salt Mines of a far away land, where she was sentenced to hard labor for her crimes against the nation. Celaena is given a choice by the Crown Prince, Dorian: to participate and win a competition to become the kings champion and eventually gain her freedom, or stay in Salt Mines to die. Celaena chooses to participate and the action begins. There is of course a love triangle but it is not as obvious to the heroine as it is to the reader. The novel is followed by Crown of Midnight, and the latest addition to the series is titled Heir of Fire and it was released September 2.

The series also has a companion novel titled The Assassin's Blade. The Assassin's Blade encompasses of five novellas that are a prequel to Throne of Glass.

Lauren Oliver is the author of Before I Fall, Delirium, Pandemonium, Requiem and Panic.

Oliver's new novel is called Rooms. Rooms will be released September 23. The novel is her debut title for adults.

I read Before I Fall a few years ago. At first I did not enjoy it but as I was reading I became more interested in the story. The book is about a girl who dies and relives the day of her death until she finds her purpose. The book takes the reader to ups and down of being a teenager in an entertaining and interesting way. As the heroine relieves her last day she finds things she never knew about herself, her friends and her family.

Richelle Mead's latest novel from the Bloodlines series was published recently. The Bloodlines series is narrated by Alchemist Sydney Sage, who is in charge of hiding royal Moroi Princess Jill. The latest novel is titled Silver Shadows.

The Bloodlines series is a spin off of the Vampire Academy series.
