The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has immediate openings for Community Relations Specialists (PDF) in all 5 Boroughs of New York City as a result of Hurricane Sandy.
The Position
Candidates will work on foot in affected localities and communicate with people affected by the Hurricane Sandy disaster to identify their disaster related needs and offer information on what assistance is available and how to obtain it. Candidates should possess strong computer, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Candidates who are bi-lingual are strongly preferred. Must be eighteen years of age, and legally able to work in the US. A background check will be performed.
Wage
$13-$15 per hour plus overtime pay.
Hours
7 a.m. to 7 p.m., 7 days per week.
