Interviews, Stuff for the Teen Age

My Library: Sefi

Sefi loves coming to the library for books and music but it wasn't always that way.

Name: Sefi

Age: Just turned 17!

Sefi, how long have you been coming to the library? Just 3 to 4 years.

Why did you start coming to the library in middle school? I started coming for TAG (Teen Advisory Group) but I stayed for the books and music. In the beginning, I wasn't really into reading but then you showed me all the cool stuff to try.

What do you like about reading now? It's your own virtual world. You can get lost in a book because reading is infinite.

What is your favorite book? That is too defining. I have too many favorite books to choose just one but I can pick my top 3. Heroin Diaries by Nikki Sixx, The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold and Back Roads by Tawni O'Dell.

What about a favorite author? Right now, it's Jenny Han who wrote The Summer I Turned Pretty and It's Not Summer Without You. I love this series.

I knew you would -- that's why I recommended them to you. What are you reading now?

Flowers in the Attic by V.C. Andrews. The grandmother is so mean! And, I hate the mom.

Ok, now for music. I know you are a huge music fan. What bands are you currently into? Oh, man. How many do you want? How about... Paramore(!), Beatles, Ramones, Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, U2, Joy Division, Jeff Buckley, Yo La Tengo, Florence & The Machine, Band of Horses & Beethoven... just to name a few.
