A FULL DAY OF FREE PROGRAMS AND FUN FOR THE WHOLE COMMUNITY

The New York Public Library invites you to join us for the official kick-off of the Summer Reading Challenge with an all-day block party! This event features special guest speakers including graphic artist Nathan Hale, programs for all ages, and tables from local organizations and community partners. 

10 a.m.: Special Guest Speakers: including graphic artist Nathan Hale  and NYPL President Tony Marx

11 a.m.: Block Party Begins

11:30 a.m.: Author Presentation by Nathan Hale (check out his books here!)

1 p.m.: Pete and Chris Amusements, "The Superhero in All of Us"

2:30 p.m.: Robin Bady, "Heroes and Heroines of Ancient Mythology"
