The Interview with Dean Moss, conducted by Joshua Lubin-Levy, was audio recorded on May 23, 24 and 25, 2011.
This excerpt begins with a question, posed by interviewer Joshua Lubin-Levy, that he had in fact solicited from Okwui Okpokwasili, a performer who has worked with Dean Moss.  Moss’ intricate reply gives us a window into the choreographer’s deepest concerns and creative intentions.
The Oral History Project Interview with Dean Moss was made possible with assistance from the New York State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.  You can listen to the interview in its entirety on-site on the third floor of the Library for the Performing Arts.  A full description of the interview, including a content summary, can be found here.
