Bradshaw Hall Swales (1875-1928) was an American anthropologist, ornithologist and collector of baseball artifacts. Collection consists of player rosters of various baseball leagues, files of individual player records, score cards, and other printed matter collected by Swales. Included are National League rosters, 1876-1930 (complete to 1926); International League rosters, 1886; Southern League rosters, 1885-1926; Pacific Coast League rosters, 1899-1926; Baseball Club rosters, 1871-1916; as well as rosters of American League, Western League, Northwestern League, American Association, Union Association, Players League (1890), and Federal League. Also, catalogs of records of individual players compiled by Swales; score cards; and newsclippings, pictures, pamphlets, and other printed materials.
