Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians: NYS License Verification
Use this site to verify that your veterinarian or veterinary technician is licensed by New York State to practice veterinary medicine. Users are able to search by name within a profession. Once a licensee list has been retrieved, users will find more detailed information, such as if there has been recent disciplinary action against a veterinarian, by clicking on the licensee number to the left of the veterinarian's name. Since 1891, the Board of Regents and the New York State Education Department have overseen the preparation, licensure, and practice of the professions. Currently, the Office of the Professions regulates forty-seven professions defined in Title VIII of the Education Law.
