  • The mission of Vocational and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities (VESID) is to promote educational equity and excellence for students with disabilities while ensuring that they receive the rights and protection to which they are entitled assure appropriate continuity between the child and adult services systems and provide the highest quality vocational rehabilitation and independent living services to all eligible persons as quickly as those services are required to enable them to work and live independent, self-directed lives.

  • A private not-for-profit agency committed to enriching the lives of all workers, their families, and their communities through both traditional and web-based Education, economic development, and empowerment programs locally, nationally, and globally.

  • The list of providers includes those organizations approved by the State Education Department as providers of the training in the identification and reporting of child abuse and maltreatment.

  • The Philanthropy News Digest (PND) of the Foundation Center offers the Job site.  You can search jobs by categorgy, organization types, job functions and states. 

  • The New York State Department of Labor is New York States primary advocate for job creation and economic growth through workforce development. The department administers New Yorks unemployment insurance system, labor exchange system, and Welfare-To-Work programs. The department also oversees state worker protection programs, including enforcement of safety and health regulations in the public sector, state labor laws and federal statutes related to working conditions, wages and hours, and laws related to Public Work.

  • A nonprofit Job Resource Center that includes a directory of nonprofit organizations, job fairs, conferences, workshops and conventions, a directory of professional services and a volunteer section.

  • Information about NYC civil service employment opportunities, including notices of examinations, exam keys and schedules, and application forms.

  • PND is a service of the Foundation Center.  The Job section provides listings of curent full-time job openings at US based foundations and nonprofit organizations

     

  • This program looks to help low-income women, men, and children through the use of education, social services, job training.

  • Information from the New York State Dept. of Labor about obtaining working papers for people under 18 years of age

  • The YWCA is the oldest and largest multicultural women's organization in ther world.  The Employment site includes job listings.
