Bloomberg Professional  On-Site Access Only at the Business Center.

Offers financial markets pricing, data, analytics, and news. This service is located at the Library's Thomas Yoseloff Business Center, a generous gift of Bloomberg, L.P. Sign up onsite at the Business Center, or for an advance reservation, sign up through a consultation with a librarian at the Thomas Yoseloff Business Center. Note: Access is for view only. Fitch Solutions Country & Industry Research (Formerly Business Monitor) provides country risk reports, plus in-depth coverage of 200 markets and 22 industries. 

IBISWorld    On-Site Access Only at the Business Center.

IBISWorld is the largest collection of industry and market research including specialized industries for small business research. This database is accessible on library computers only at SIBL, not through Wi-Fi.  Please note:. Leadership Connect   On-Site Access Only at the Business Center and the Steven A. Schwarzman Building.

Leadership Connect focuses on News Media, Law & Lobbying Firms, Companies, Nonprofits & Associations, and Courts, as well as Congress, Federal Government, State & Local Government. The database contains profiles with information on people, including e-mail addresses and phone numbers, as well as organizations in these areas, and information about government offices and departments. 

Mergent Archives   On-Site Access at the Business Center and the Steven A. Schwartzman Buildiing, The Performing Arts Library, and the Schomburg Center.

Mergent Archives is a platform for the digital delivery of the iconic Moody''s / Mergent Manuals of corporate and securities information as well as their huge retrospective collection of corporate annual reports. 

Mergent Intellect  Onsite Access at the Business Center and from home with a NYPL Library Card.

Mergent Intellect is an expansive directory database that includes more than 100 million private US, Canadian and global businesses, more than 6000 US public companies and over 200 million residents and local businesses, with previous addresses and allowing for reverse telephone lookups. 

MergentOnline  On-Site Access at the Business Center and the Steven A. Schwartzman Buildiing, The Performing Arts Library, and the Schomburg Center.

Information on more than 21,000 US and international companies, including 10,000 NYSE, AMEX and Nasdaq exchange companies. All SEC (EDGAR) filings and domestic and international annual reports are included.

Mintel   On-Site Access Only at the Business Center.

Mintel Oxygen Academic is a collection of market research reports on hundreds of segments of the US market.  Mintel emphasizes market sizes, shares and trends in innovation with special attention to the underlying data.  Users will be asked to create a profile prior to proceeding to the reports.  NYPL's subscription is for view only. No printing, no downloading, no copying, no reproduction by any digital device of Mintel content.  Sign up for a virtual consultation with a librarian for more options. 

Morningstar Investment Research Center  Access On-Site in the Library and from home with a NYPL Library Card.

Access Morningstar financial reports, screening, analyst reports and porfolio screening. Use the Help & Education link to access information about this database and online course modules on investing. 

Panjiva   On-Site Access Only at the Business Center.

A database of global suppliers, manufacturers, and trade professionals.  This database is accessible onsite after a  preliminary virtual consultation with a business librarian. Sign up for a virtual consultation with a librarian for more options. 

PrivCo    On-Site Access Only at the Business Center.

PrivCo is a premier resource for financial data on 900,000 private companies, non-publicly traded corporations, family-owned, private equity-owned, venture-backed & international unlisted companies.  Please note: Library patrons must create an account with their name and email address to access PrivCo. It is available for use in the Business Center only, and monthly account limits will apply. This database can only be accessed on library computers in the Business Center and cannot be accessed through Wi-Fi. 

Reference Solutions  Access On-Site and  from home with a NYPL Library card.

Reference Solutions, formerly known as Reference USA, provides addresses, sales information, executives, for over 16 million verified businesses, and now includes job listings. 

SimplyAnalytics  

Access onsite and from home with a NYPL library card. Simply Map includes thousands of demographic, business, and marketing data variables. 

S&P Capital IQ On-Site Access Only at the Business Center.

Provides in-depth financial information on companies, equities, fixed income, industry reports, SEC filings, interest rates, commodities, screening for stocks and mutual funds and more. 

Statista  Access onsite and from home with a NYPL library card. 

Find statistics, industry reports for 170+  industries, an e-commerce database and global consumer surveys and insights.

Uniworld Online  On-Site Access Only at the Business Center.

Directory for contact information of multinational companies. Uniworld merges two print directories into one online database: American Firms Operating in Foreign Countries and Foreign Firms Operating in the United States, and includes companies in over 200 countries and 20,000 industries. Note, if a company only has offices in one country, it is not included in this database.

USA Trade Online On-Site Access Only at the Business Center.

Statistical database. Provides official exports and imports data on more than 17,000 commodities. Reveals what merchandise is being shipped, where it is being shipped, and how much it is worth. Includes quantity and value of exports and imports by 2-, 4-, 6-, and 10 digit Harmonized System codes plus the total quantity and value of exports and imports for more than 250 countries and each customs district. Value Line Research Center    Onsite access and access from home with a Library Card.

On-line access to Value Line's leading publications covering stocks, mutual funds, options and convertible securities as well as special situation stocks. Attention NYPLcardholders: To view issues of Value Line, click on  the DASHBOARD tab. Be sure to log out of the resource when your research is complete.

Provides data on advertising agencies, advertisers, key contacts, ad spends, media types, and more. Note: Exports/ Downloads are disabled for the Library's Winmo account. Instead, Copy and Print company details to PDF. Use ”View details” to get email addresses and contact information for advertisers and agencies. Refine your searches to narrow results and print to PDF to save.  

Zephyr  On-Site Access Only at the Business Center.

Provides information about mergers and acquisitions, IPO's, joint ventures and private equity deals. Museum of Finance Academy at NYPL

The Museum Finance Academy (MFA) at NYPL is a FREE four-session virtual personal finance course for high school and college-age students with the goal of teaching teens to aspire to financial independence through developing an appreciation for savings, establishing financial goals, and learning how to avoid scams. This course requires NO prior knowledge of finance, business, or economics.

 The series kicks off on Wednesday, July 5 at 12 PM (ET) and continues each Wednesday at noon through July 26, 2023.

Each program builds on the knowledge gained from the previous session! Register for each program separately below.

 All sessions are presented in partnership with the Museum of American Finance (MoAF) and the New York Public Library’s Thomas Yoseloff Business Center. Sessions are taught by MoAF Educator Chris Meyers.
