President's Council

The highest category of membership at The New York Public Library, the President’s Council is a select group of individuals from this country and abroad who have an interest in libraries and education, and in The New York Public Library in particular.

President’s Council members are committed to the Library’s continuing development as a national and international resource, and support the Library directly and as ambassadors within their own communities. Members contribute $25,000 or more annually in support of the Library’s essential operating needs.

Membership benefits include two intimate and elegant dinners each year arranged exclusively for the President’s Council, organized around the Library’s extraordinary collections and featuring lively conversations with notable public figures and other special guests.

Members also are invited to other special events throughout the year, such as the Library Lions annual gala. Private tours of the Library or special exhibitions — tailored to the interests of individual Council members — may be arranged on request. Complementary tickets to any LIVE from the NYPL public programs are also available to members on request. In addition, President’s Council members enjoy all of the benefits of the Library’s Conservators and Friends Programs.

Annual Contribution: $25,000 or more
