The Research Libraries — The Research Libraries depend on the support of foundations for the Annual Fund, as well as for major capital projects and special initiatives such as endowment and collection development, which broaden access to information and secure a healthy financial future.

The Branch Libraries — The Branch Libraries provide patrons with rich and varied collections, public programming, Internet access, and skilled staff. Foundation support helps fund special initiatives that improve the lives of countless New Yorkers.
