Family Benefit
The 2014 Family Benefit will take place on Sunday, Januray 26, at the New York Public Library's Stephen A. Schwarzman Building
2013 Family Benefit Co-Chairs (L-R) Beth Kojima, Tina Samii, Katerina Alevizaki-Dracopoulos, Amanda Waldron, Andrea Olshan, and Daisy Prince, with NYPL President Tony Marx
The Family Benefit is a fun-filled event for children and parents alike. Held in the historic Astor Hall of the landmark Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, this breathtaking space is transformed into a wonderland for children inspired by a different theme every year. Families enjoy hands-on activities, animated readings, and music that bring these stories to life and spark children’s imaginations while encouraging a love of reading. Proceeds from the Family Benefit support children’s services and programs in the Library’s neighborhood branches, including after school programs that aim to improve children’s educational achievement, as well as the purchasing of children’s books to enable and promote reading throughout the city.
