The New York Public Library's Family Benefit
Sunday, January 24, 2016, 10 a.m.–noon
A fun-filled morning for parents and children alike, The Family Benefit transforms the Library’s historic Astor Hall in the landmark Stephen A. Schwarzman Building into a literary wonderland. Families enjoy hands-on activities, animated readings, and music that bring these stories to life and spark children’s imaginations while encouraging a love of reading. Proceeds from the Family Benefit support children’s services and programs in the Library’s 88 neighborhood branches, including after school programs that aim to improve children’s educational achievement, as well as the purchasing of children’s books to enable and promote reading throughout the city.
