The SBA's Bronx Women's Business Resource Center provides individualized, comprehensive guidance to small business owners and future entrepreneurs. The mission of the HPEDC/Women's Business Resource Center is to empower people by assisting them to become economically independent through self-employment. The services are offered in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. We seek to assist women and minorities who own or aspire to own a business in or around the Bronx, to gain the tools, resources, and confidence to succeed in their entrepreneurial ventures. WBRC offers one-on-one technical assistance, business workshops, access to capital, computer training, and long-term entrepreneurial training. WBRC is also part of the Business Outreach Center Network with offices in all 5 boroughs and Newark, NJ, and is one of the Entrepreneurial Assistance Program Center (EAP) in New York State. Sponsored by the Empire State Development Corporation, the EAP consists of 60 hours of intensive entrepreneurship training and over 15 hours of hands-on counseling.
