The mission of the Department of Business Services is to support the formation, growth, and expansion of the City's small businesses by providing business assistance, fostering neighborhood development, and promoting financial and economic opportunity through government procurement. The Department can help you resolve issues with city agencies, obtain permits and licensing, access financing and incentives, bid on government contracts, hire and train your workforce, and take advantage of the benefits of being in New York City. Additionally, the Department works with communities and organizations in all corners of the City to invigorate City neighborhoods and make them more business friendly.
