The Neighborhood Entrepreneur Law Project provides free legal assistance to low income microentrepreneurs who are interested in starting a business or who have an existing business. Free legal assistance is offered relating to business structure - partnership, sole proprietorship, LLP; reviewing & negotiating commercial leases; protecting trademarks & copyrights; preparing sales & service contracts; employment law matters; reviewing loan documents; and obtaining required NYC, NY State and Federal licenses and registrations. If you are a microentrepreneur or a community-based organization, contact the Project for eligibility requirements.
