Seeking assistance in finding permanent employment

It hurts to constantly hear the phrase 'you fall in the displaced employee' category.
I have/had been involved/worked in the IT/Data Center Operations/Networking environments over 17 years, of which 4+ yrs were with
Deloitte & Touché Computer Operations Dept. while still in the World Trade Center, and 13+ yrs with a medium size Import, Export and Distribution Co.
(GMV Music & Video Superstore) which expanded/grew into 4 satellite stores throughout Chicago, Florida, Brooklyn, Queens.
