Community Action Center
The Community Action Center assists city residents, including businesses, that are having problems with city agencies on issues such as sanitation, water bills, vendor payments, the public pensions systems, and claims against the city. The Center will intervene only if the consumer has first attempted to interact with the agency and has been unsuccessful. Complaints can be made in writing. Phone calls and walk-ins are accepted during normal business hours. If you are outside New York City, the Center can be reached at 1-800-800-6385.
