Included in this searchable database are programs which offer business advice, loans, grants, location assistance, and a wide range of other services for small businesses throughout the city — often at no cost or for a low fee.
The Pratt Center's NYIRN project provides business development services to NYC manufacturers, including: real estate and incentive program referrals, marketing assistance, sourcing services, educational programming energy efficiency grants and more. The Pratt Center works for a more just, equitable, and sustainable city for all New Yorkers by empowering manuafacturing stakeholdes through open and inclusive decision-making that brings together labor, community, business and government to address economic policy issues, develop programs, and deliver services.
Loans $20,000 to $500,000 are available to small businesses and women and minority-owned businesses that have transportation-related contracts with New York State Department of Transportation. Loans are made for short-term working capital for labor and materials, and funds are payable monthly, as cash flow dictates. Eligible borrowers are businesses that have been awarded contracts, but have not yet begun work and those who have begun work not more than 30 days prior to the loan closing.
TruFund Financial Services provides financing to enable businesses, nonprofits or developers to proceed with their business or real estate projects. It also offers an affordable source of working capital for organizations seeking to expand, re-locate, or restructure. TruFund provides lending opportunities for small businesses, nonprofits, and real estate. New Market Tax Credits are also available for eligible businesses. TruFund is a partner of Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses initiative.
Under this program businesses in the Jamaica area (zip code beginning with 114...) with sales that do not exceed $10 million are eligible for loans ranging from $10,000 to $300,000 for working capital, equipment, real estate, or purchase of an existing business. The business must have fixed assets as collateral.

Workforce1 Career Centers are a one-stop shop for employers and jobseekers. Services to businesses may include human resources consulting, job-candidate screening and customized training for employees. For jobseekers services include resume and interview preparation, job-search coaching and access to educational and training opportunities.
