Brigadoon
The freezing, speeding or reversal of time has been a frequent
plot device since the 1500s. Although generally remembered as
a romance, the plot of Alan Jay Lerner & Frederick Loewe's
popular musical comedy revolves around the altering of time
--the Scottish village is protected from the 20th century because
it exists for only one day each hundred years.
