Science, Industry and Business Library (SIBL) Space Rentals

• SIBL's Conference Center consists of two rooms, each available for rental separately. Food service is permitted. Both rooms are equipped with Ethernet connections for high-speed Internet access. Audio/visual projection equipment is available to rent for a fee.
  • Conference Room 018 (32' X 18', 551 sq. ft.) is equipped with built in screens and a lectern. It can accommodate 50 people theatre-style.
  • Conference Room 014/015 (38' X 14', 513 sq. ft.) is equipped with built in screens and a portable lectern. It can accommodate 40 people theatre-style.
• The Electronic Training Center (ETC) consists of three rooms each with 13 computers (Dell), flat screen monitors, access to over 100 databases and Internet access through T3 lines. Each room includes one instructor workstation with computer projection to a large screen. A single room may be rented for a small group; two of the classrooms (1&2) can be combined for a total of 26 student workstations for larger groups. Each workstation is equipped with a sound card and speakers. The audio-visual system includes a VHS player and cable television, both of which project on the large screen at the front of each room. Additional chairs, but not workstations, can be provided to accommodate larger groups.

  For a fee, SIBL's information specialists, who are also trained presenters, who can offer hands-on instruction in the use of the Web, at basic and advanced levels, and instruction in the use of more than 100 Library's databases. Instructional sessions can be tailored to the needs, interests and prior experience of any group.

• Healy Hall, with its dramatic stainless steel grand staircase and handsome terrazzo floors, is an elegant space for corporate entertaining. An ideal venue for early-morning breakfasts and after-hours cocktail receptions, it can accommodate 100-150 people, with a seating capacity of 75.

  The fee of $8,500 for Healy Hall includes room usage, operational expenses, and a $2,500 tax-deductible membership fee. Members in the Corporate Partners Program are entitled to significantly discounted fees and additional benefits for gifts at a variety of levels.
