Factiva (formerly Dow Jones Interactive)
Searchable full-text and abstracting resource provides global content, including
Dow Jones and Reuters newswires and The Wall Street Journal. Includes multilingual
content covering 8,000 publications from 118 countries in 22 languages. Sources
include general business and industry publications, newspapers, trade journals,
newswires, company reports, radio and television transcripts, and images.
Print, download or email search results. This resource is not available
on all networked PCs at SIBL. Please make a reservation at the EIC desk.
Infoshare Online provides a wide range of data on the neighborhoods
of New York City -- population, immigration, land use, public assistance,
birth, death, hospitalization and much else. Users can profile individual
neighborhoods, compare neighborhoods using selected indicators, and produce
their own detailed tables. Data can be printed or saved to a spreadsheet or
database file. Maps comparing neighborhoods for selected data can be viewed,
printed, and saved. The Help button provides an online, downloadable User
Guide.

AccessScience
The McGraw-Hill Online Encyclopedia of Science and Technology. The online
encyclopedia consists of 7,700 full-text articles, 115,000 terms and 2,000
biographies. AccessScience also includes helpful tools such as student resources,
study guides, essays and related sites. Please logout when you have finished
using this e-resource so that it will be available to other users.
Advertising Red Books
Online
Directory. Includes information necessary for thorough advertising research
on agencies and advertisers. The Agency Database contains detailed profiles
of nearly 13,500 U.S. and international advertising agencies, including accounts
represented by each agency, fields of specialization, breakdown of gross billings
by media, and contact information on agency personnel. This database is

American Institute Of Physics Online Journal Publishing Service
Full-text electronic versions of AIP and American Physical Society journals
or proceedings to which the Library subscribes. Only the titles which are
received in print are currently available online full-text to library users.
Cambridge Journal of Economics
From Oxford University Press, Search abstracts from 1996 to date and access
the current issue and full text of articles published from Sept 1998 to present.
Full text articles available in PDF format.
Country Reports - Economist Intelligence Unit
Includes profiles and reports of 155 countries throughout the world. The
reports provide analysis and forecasts of the political, economic, and business
environment of each country. Updated: Monthly.
Edgar Online Professional
Statistical database. Provides the full-text of Edgar SEC documents. SEC filings
may be searched in a variety of ways, including full text, type of filing,
quarterly and annual reports, institutional and individual ownership, insider
trading, proxy statements, and today's filings. Data may also be searched
by mergers and acquisitions, or people. Historical data goes back to 1994.

Galante's Venture Capital & Private Equity Directory-
Directory. Search venture capital firms using browse option (alphabetically)
or by investment criteria. Investment criteria include company location, type
of firm, activity level, investment size, geographic preference or industry

Genes & Development
Journal published by Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Press. Research papers
of broad general interest and biological significance in the areas of molecular
biology, molecular genetics, and related fields. Search current issues and
abstracts back to 1987.
IEEE Xplore
Searchable full-text access to IEEE journals, transactions and magazines starting
from 1998. The Library subscribes to the All-Society Periodicals Package (ASPP)
journals which are also received in print. The Package includes 105 IEEE Society-sponsored
transactions, journals and magazines covering every aspect of electrical and
computer science. (NOTE: The following titles are not included in the
online package: IEEE Spectrum, Proceedings of the IEEE, IEEE Standards, Membership
Directory)
Institute of Physics Electronic Journals
A searchable archive of current and back issues of journals from IOP. Includes
the full text of articles.
LRS- NY State Legislative Retrieval System
Full-text database of New York State legislative information. Access
bill status, bill text, and summary. Includes Committee agendas, floor calendars,
daily sheets, chapters for the current year, veto and approval messages, and
related documents. Searchable by bill number, word or phrase, or search links.
Provides NY State legislative information going back to 1995. This database

MarketResearch.com Academic (formerly Market Research from Kalorama
Academic)
Reports. Online access to over 500 market research reports. Full reports included
are a few years behind however summaries and data are provided for recent
reports that are available for purchase. Reports and summaries may be searched,
viewed, printed and downloaded.
Market Research Monitor
(from Euromonitor) Reports. Market Research Monitor provides a 3 year
archive of more than 850 consumer and retail reports plus 600 major market
profiles. Provides instant access to up-to-date global consumer market research,
including key trends, market background, market forecasts, full-text analysis
and market size data, forecasts, company profiles and market shares. Report
content is largely european and international markets.
MergentOnline (formerly FISonline)
Directory, Reports, and Statistics. Information on more than 21,000 US and
international companies, including 10,000 NYSE, AMEX and Nasdaq exchange companies.
All SEC (EDGAR®) filings and domestic and international annual reports from
1996 - present are included. Updated: Weekly.
Science Direct Web Editions
Basic electronic version of the journals for which The New York Public Library
has print subscriptions with Elsevier and related publishers.Science
Direct Web Editions provides electronic access to the full-text of articles
published over the last 12 months. To access journals, click on the Journals
tab, then click on the title to see which journals and issues are available
in PDF format.
Scientific American Archive Online
Articles. Contains the editorial contents of Scientific American Magazine,
from 1993 to the present. Issues are in PDF format. Search by full-text, title
or author (advanced search) or browse issues by date. Updated: Monthly.
SRDS.
Database of media and marketing information. Covers traditional media--such
as magazines, newspapers, television and radio--as well as online, out-of-home
and direct marketing. Catalogs more than 60,000 media properties in all. Updated:

State Capital Universe
Lexis-Nexis® State Capital Universe is a source of comprehensive state government
information from Congressional Information Service, Inc. Provides access to
state bills and laws, constitutions, proposed and enacted regulations, newspapers
of record, articles about legislative issues affecting the states, and legislature
membership. Search for information about one state, any combination of states,
or all 50 states from a single source. Most information is available from
1991 - Present.
Textile Technology Digest-NEW web version
Abstracts of articles. Provides international coverage of the literature of
textiles and related subjects Coverage includes the various aspects of textile
production and processing, and the automation and management systems of these
operations. Includes many of the major resources of the apparel, home furnishings,
flooring, and polymer industries.
Value Line Research Center
Find information on stocks, mutual funds, options and convertible securities
as well as special situation stocks. Database includes : Value Line Investment
Survey, Value Line Investment Survey – Expanded Edition, Value Line Mutual
Fund Survey, Value Line Daily Options Survey, Value Line Special Situations
Service, and Value Line Convertibles Survey. Reports may be printed

Articles. Full text Database. The fashion industry's daily news source. It
covers the entire gamut of fashion: business issues, fashion trends, retailing
developments, international ready-to-wear, couture presentations, and market
overviews. WWD is written for retailers and manufacturers of women's apparel,
