Index of more than 10 million immigrants who arrived at the Port of New York from 1830-1892. Searching via S. Morse's One Step Search Form.
Census CD
Includes the full set of Census data from Block Group level up to the nation, all 16 geographies included in the Census long form databases STF3A to D, all tracts, places, counties, states, Congressional districts, Zip codes, etc., for over 375,000 geographic locations in the US. It has all 3,500+ Census demographic variables for every area along with millions of street addresses from Tiger94, all distributed by the US Census Bureau.

The Chronicle's Web site features the complete contents of the latest issue; daily news and advice columns; thousands of current job listings; articles published since September 1989; vibrant discussion forums; and career-building tools such as online CV management, salary databases, and more.

Congressional Documents & Debates, 1774-1875
This free site brings together online the records and acts of the U.S. Congress from the Continental Congress and Constitutional Convention through the 43rd Congress. Find congressional journals, debate proceedings, statutes, bills, and official reports.
Congressional Indexes 1789-1969
Includes U.S. House and Senate documents and reports, committee hearings, unpublished hearings, and commitee prints.
Congressional Serial Set, 1817-1980

CQ's Electronic Encyclopedia of American Government

This database which includes bilingual and biographical dictionaries provides a full text collection for over 270 reference works covering art, biography, business, geography, history and social science, language, law, literature, medicine, music, philosophy and psychology, religion, science and technology.
Criminal Justice Abstracts
Criminal Justice Abstracts, the criminology database from SAGE Publications, contains comprehensive coverage of international journals, books, reports, dissertations and unpublished papers on criminology and related disciplines.

Indexes and abstracts international literature on economics.
Economist Intelligence Unit
Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) includes Country Reports, Country Profiles, Views Wire, Risk Briefings, Country Commerce, Industry Briefings, Country Finance, and World Commodity Forecasts.
Eighteenth Century Journals II
Provides full-text, digital images from the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center collection of 17th and 18th century newspapers and periodicals. Topics covered include the writings of Sir Isaac Newton, the French Revolution, reviews of literature and fashion throughout Europe, political debates, and coffee house gossip and discussion.

Europa: Gateway to the European Union

Foreign Relations of the United States
This digital facsimile of FRUS is a project of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Libraries in collaboration with the University of Illinois at Chicago Libraries. An almost complete run from 1861-1960 with missing volumes being added as they can be acquired.
Historical Census Browser
Provides population and economic census data for U.S. states and counties from the years 1790-1960.
House of Commons Parliamentary Papers
Between 1715 and 2000, around 9.5 million pages for over 184,000 parliamentary papers were published. Since 2001, the number of papers has grown by approximately 4,000 for each parliamentary session. HCPP delivers searchable full text for each paper, along with a detailed subject index.
Infoshare Online
Provides a wide range of data on the neighborhoods of New York City -- population, immigration, land use, public assistance, birth, death, hospitalization and much else.
JSTOR
A searchable, digitized archive -- from the first date of publication to the last three to five years -- of major scholarly journals in many academic fields.
Lexis Nexis Digital Congressional Hearings Digital Collection
Provides access to published and unpublished hearings. When complete, the hearings collection
will go back to 1824. The digital collection is in progress at this time: As of February 2008, hearings from 1961-2007 are available in PDF format, and may be accessed through searches from the Basic, Advanced, or Search by number forms. Retrospective files are being loaded monthly, mid-month. (Click on the down arrow next to date to search by a range of dates).
LRS- NY State Legislative Retrieval System
Full-text database of New York State legislative information. Access bill status, bill text, and summary. Includes Committee agendas, floor calendars, daily sheets, chapters for the current year, veto and approval messages, and related documents. Searchable by bill number, word or phrase, or search links. Provides NY State legislative information going back to 1995.
Monthly Catalog of the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO)
Citations to publications of U.S. Government agencies.
MyCITI Map Portal
Through a partnership between the Municipal Art Society and the City of New York, users can access an enhanced New York City Map Portal for detailed maps, building and property data, subway information, community statistics and more.

Patents Searching
Searchable full text and bibliographic patent databases from the US Patent and Trademark Office, which covers the period from 1 January 1976 to the most recent weekly issue date. The full text database also includes links to full page images. This site is a resource for application and general information about patents.
Polling the Nations
Polling the Nations is an online database of public opinion polls containing the full-text of 500,000 questions and responses from 14,000+ surveys conducted from 1986 through the present in the United States and 100 other countries around the world.

ProQuest Research Library
Provides articles from periodicals covering arts, business, children, education, health, humanities, law, multicultural studies, sciences, social sciences, and general interest. Full text is available for nearly two-thirds of its titles.
PubWEST
Search patents using the public version of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Web-based Examiners Search Tool database (PubWEST). This is one of the databases the USPTO makes available to professional searchers. Search and view all U.S. patents, applications published since March 15, 2001, and abstracts of European and Japanese patents. Images of many other foreign patents are available for viewing and printing.
Social Sciences Citation Index
Indexes articles and provides cited references found in over 1,700 leading social science journals in more than fifty subjects including anthropology, area studies, criminal justice, economics, education, environmental studies, ethnic studies, library science, history, international relations, political science, psychology, sociology, urban studies and women’s studies. The SSCI also includes selected, relevant articles from more than 3,000 science and technology journals.
Social Services Abstracts
Social Services Abstracts provides bibliographic coverage of current research focused on social work, human services, and related areas, including social welfare, social policy, and community development. The database abstracts and indexes over 1,300+ serials publications and includes abstracts of journal articles and dissertations, and citations to book reviews.
Sociological Abstracts
Indexes and abstracts literature in theoretical and applied sociology, and related disciplines in the social and behavioral sciences.
SourceOECD
SourceOECD is the online library of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. This library comprises 20 book collections by theme, containing all of the OECD monographs and reports, 24 periodicals, a reference title, and the OECD statistical databases.
State Capital Universe
Provides full-text access to state bills and laws, constitutions, regulations, articles about legislative issues and legislative membership.
Statistical Universe
Indexes and abstracts statistical sources from government and nongovernment agencies. Some graphs are available.
STAT-USA/Internet
International trade and export information from the U.S. Department of Commerce including the National Trade Databank (NTDB), Foreign Traders index, and market research reports by product and country. Other national economic statistics too.
Trademark Electronic Search System (Tess)
Searchable trademark database from the US Patent and Trademark Office, which includes the full bibliographic text of pending and registered trademarks. This site is a resource for application and general information about trademarks.
United Nations Documents and Publications Index
UN materials searchable by subject, session, document number, UN sales number, title and country.
United Nations Official Documents System (ODS)
United Nations Official Documents System (ODS) is a full-text repository of official documents published by the U.N. in all six official languages of the U.N. Documents are stored in two databases: UN documentation, with comprehensive coverage starting with 1993, and selected coverage for earlier years; UN Resolutions, including official records version of resolutions of the General
Assembly, Security Council, Economic and Social Council and Trusteeship Council since 1946.
United Nations Treaty Series
Collection of over 34,000 treaties and international agreements registered or filed and recorded with and published by the Secretariat since 1946
United States Congressional Serial Set, 1817-1980
United States Exports History: Historical Summary

United States Exports of Merchandise
