Humanities and Social Sciences Library: The Humanities and Social Sciences Library offers as a free service the opportunity to connect your laptop to the Internet via the Library's Ethernet Local Area Network (LAN). Docking stations are available in the Rose Main Reading Room. No reservations are necessary. More information can be found here.

The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts: Free laptop connections to the Internet are available at designated seats in all reading rooms at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. No reservations are necessary. Connections are made via the Library's Ethernet Local Area Network (LAN). Instructions on how to configure your laptop to communicate with our network can be found here.

Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture: Laptops are allowed in most of the divisions. There is no connection to the Internet via the Library's Ethernet Local Area Network (LAN) at present.

Science, Industry and Business Library: The Science, Industry and Business Library of The New York Public Library offers users the opportunity to connect laptop computers to the Internet and to connect to many of the electronic information resources available at SIBL. Docking stations are provided in the Salomon Reading Room on the lower level. Connection speed is up to 10,000 kilobits per second using a 10BaseT Ethernet card. No reservations are required.
