Professional Development

Education Outreach staff are available to provide professional development seminars at the Library or at your site.

Inservice and Conference Workshops
We will collaborate with administrators, school library media personnel, or school instructional staff to create primary resource and research workshops that meet your staff’s research needs.

Summer Seminars for Teachers
Our week-long seminars for teachers have included Literature of the Jazz Age, and What They Were Wearing: Clothing and Social Revolution.  Visit our website in late November for next year’s summer seminar topic.

After-School Specials
Throughout the school year we will offer short after school programs for educators.  The topic of each After School Special will vary, but most will focus on finding and teaching with primary sources.  Check our website or subscribe to our newsletter for updates.
