<head>Scope and Content Note</head>
<p>This is a synthetic collection consisting of manuscripts and correspondence. The manuscripts include a holograph poem, an essay on Virginia Woolf, and drafts of essays. There are manuscripts by Joe Randolph Ackerley, William Plomer, and others relating to the author. The correspondence includes letters by the author, dating from [1904] to 1969, to Edward Arnold &amp; Co., publishers; Arnold Bennett, Ford Madox Ford, Elizabeth Hart, Sir Edward Howard Marsh, Edward Sackville-West, the Society of Authors, Leonard Woolf, Virginia Woolf, and others. Also included are letters relating to the author, dating from 1904-1960, between various correspondents including Sir Edward Howard Marsh, Leonard Woolf, Virginia Woolf, and others.There are letters written to the author from Robin Mayor, Robert Malise Bowyer Nichols, and Virginia Woolf, dating from 1922 to 1942. </p>
