Curtis Brown Ltd. is a literary agency based in London. It was founded in 1899 by Albert Curtis Brown.

Scope and Content Note

This is a synthetic collection consisting of correspondence, and legal and financial documents. The bulk of the collection is letters, dating from 1906 to 1949, to Sir Hall Caine, Marie Corelli, Susan Glaspell, Lady Isabella Augusta Persse Gregory, Clayton Meeker Hamilton, Sir Edward Howard Marsh, Sean O'Casey, Michael Roberts, Muriel Rukeyser, William Butler Yeats, and the literary agency James B. Pinker and Son, as well as letters to Curtis Brown Ltd. from Max Beerbohm, Lady Gregoy, Sean O'Casey, Mary Webb, and others, dating from 1904 to 1930.
