<head>Scope and Content Note</head>
<p>This is a synthetic collection consisting of manuscripts, typescripts, and correspondence by and about the author. The manuscripts and typescripts include notes and drafts of novels, incomplete essays, plays, and a biography of E. M. Forster. The correspondence includes letters from the author, dating from 1919 to 1967, to Sir Edward Howard Marsh, Edward Sackville-West, and Cecil Woolf, as well as a letter relating to the author, dated 1969, from Neville Braybrooke to George Barker.</p>
