- Open-shelf reference collection of 60,000 volumes comprised of directories,
handbooks, dictionaries, indexes and reference tools in a broad array
of SIBL's subject areas.
- Key investment services for consultation in the Financial Services
section between two photocopying rooms.
- Access to closed stacks research collections of 1.4 million volumes
available via call slip submitted to the Altman Desk, where staff
provide assistance with reserves, photocopying, and scanning.
- Laptop docking stations enable high speed access to SIBL's networked
databases and and Internet.

Technology), Patents and Trademarks, Government Publications (United
States: Federal, New York State and New York City), United Nations,
European Union, International Monetary Fund.
- Librarians provide walk in reference services, reference consultations
by appointment, e-mail reference and telephone reference.
- Retired executives offer free business counseling in the SCORE office
near the McGraw information services desk.

- Printing or downloading to a disk is permitted for most resources.
- Access to over 100 licensed databases for research in business,
industry, finance, marketing, government information, and the sciences.
- E-Resources include full-text databases, electronic journals, online
directories, newspapers, and statistical publications.
- The Electronic Training Center, comprised of four training labs
within the EIC, is the site for computer-based instruction classes
in the use of library resources at SIBL.

- Access to more than 1 million pieces of microfilm containing retrospective
files of newpapers and periodicals, a significant portion of SIBL's
government publications, United States Patents, and other documents.

B. and Dorothy Cullman Circulating Library and Reading Room |
- The Circulating collections located on the street level provide
access to 40,000 popular science and business books available for
loan with an NYPL branch libraries card.
- Materials available for loan include books, videos and CDs in business
and science topics. These collections are listed in the LEO catalog.
- Current issues of more than 150 popular business and science magazines
are available for on-site use only.
- Computers offer access to the Internet as well as to SIBL's networked
databases.
