The Art & Architecture Collection has a rich selection of auction sales indexes available for searching by the reader in Room 300. Some of the indexes are online  databases such as ArtFact on the decorative arts and fine arts, AskArt on American artists and ArtNet on the fine arts. Other auction sales indexes, such as Art Sales Index, are available in either electronic or traditional paper format. In addition to these indexes, the Library houses the actual sales catalogs for a number of major auction houses such as Sotheby's and Christies.
