Rendering of the new Map Division reading room

The Map Division reading room (Rm. 117) will re-open in December 2005. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Interim reference service and delivery are offered in the Irma and Paul Milstein Division of US History, Local History and Genealogy (Rm. 121). Much of the collection has been moved offsite, and delivery will occur on a scheduled basis throughout the day.

Map collections and services are available at the following times:
Tuesdays 1:00 - 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday - Saturday 1:00 - 6:00 p.m

The Map Division renovation will restore rooms 115 and 117 to their original 1911 luster, while adding Internet connections, oversize color printers, enhanced lighting, open stack collections, larger table surfaces, new compact shelving and a map exhibition space.
